Anthropic: AI not reliable enough

Anthropic boss Dario Amodei warns that artificial intelligence makes it possible to automatically compile data from individual people scattered across the Internet into a detailed picture of their lives on a large scale. At the same time, AI is not yet reliable enough to be used in fully autonomous weapons. “We will not knowingly deliver a product that puts America’s fighters and civilians at risk,” Amodei wrote in a blog post.

OpenAI wants to fill the gap

To date, Anthropic was the only AI company whose software was also approved for classified use in the US military. ChatGPT inventor OpenAI entered into an agreement with the Department of Defense following the action against Anthropic.
