‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ Mary Cosby says she’s “deeply saddened”

[마이데일리 = 곽명동 기자]Robert Cosby Jr., the son of Mary Cosby (53), a cast member of the American reality show ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’, passed away at the age of 23.
According to local media outlet TMZ, police responded to a report of a drug overdose on the 23rd (local time), and the case has now been converted into a death investigation.
Immediately after the news of her son’s death was announced, Mary Cosby expressed her feelings on social media, saying, “I believe that my son has finally found peace.” He added, “Our beloved son, Robert Jr., has returned to the arms of the Lord. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in God’s promise and the fact that he is now at peace. We are grateful to everyone who prays for us during this time of sorrow.”
The issue of the deceased’s drug abuse has been openly addressed through broadcasts on the Bravo channel. In particular, his recovery process was mentioned in Season 6, which was filmed in early 2025. On the air at the time, Robert Jr. confessed that even after completing a 30-day rehabilitation program, “the recovery process was at a standstill.”
He confessed at the time, “It’s not completely dark, but there’s still a shadow. It’s really difficult not to repeat my past actions,” and in a later broadcast, it was revealed that he had relapsed into using drugs again.
Additionally, Robert Jr. was in trouble several times due to legal issues during his lifetime. During the Season 6 Reunion broadcast in January, Mary Cosby shed tears as she shared the news that her son was arrested in November and is in prison. At the time, it was reported that he was suspected of violating a restraining order filed by his divorced ex-wife’s family.
