The Latin Recording Academy will recognize Spanish singer RAPHAEL (Linares, Jaén, 82 years old) as its Person of the Year in November, honoring his six-decade career as “a true ambassador of latin music worldwide.” The award will be presented at a gala and concert on November 12 in Las Vegas, during Latin Grammy week.

From a young age, RAPHAEL demonstrated a passion for singing. At age 4, he discovered his calling, and at 9, he received the Best Child Voice Award in Europe at the Salzburg Festival.
