According to reports from asahi broadcasting in Japan, the man’s actions were discovered by fellow tourists within the group. The Korean tour guide promptly reported the incident to the Kyoto authorities,leading to the man’s arrest.
Professor Seo relayed that the man confessed to acting on a whim, driven by “thrill and curiosity.” This admission has further fueled public condemnation.
