Since June 2022, Rwanda has diligently readied itself for the migrants’ arrival, following the agreement made two months earlier. During a recent visit to the hostel in Kigali, the manager, Ismael Bakina, showcased the meticulous preparations, from well-furnished bedrooms to well-maintained grounds.
Mr. Bakina assured that the hostel is fully operational and prepared to receive migrants at any moment. The facilities are equipped to process asylum applications promptly, offering residence permits to those who do not qualify.
