Tonight at 9 p.m., the Friends of the Florencio Sánchez Theater Foundation presents at the Florencio Sánchez, the show “Lyric Gala: Night of Zarzuela and Opera,” directed by Aníbal Gil, with the participation of the Pasión y Escenario Lyric Group, the Municipal Band and the City of Paysandú Choir.

The program will offer, for an hour and a half, an anthology of great composers, including Mozart, Verdi, Rossini, Lehár, Asenjo Barbieri, Moreno Torroba, Gerónimo Giménez, Soutullo y Vert, Amadeo Vives and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, among others.

In addition to David Pintos leading the José Debali Band and Analía Gerfau directing the Ciudad de Paysandú Choir, Carlos Villalba will appear as guest conductor of the band.

Argentina Sosa (soprano), Sofía Núñez (soprano), Fabián Solaro (tenor) and Eduardo Garella (baritone) will perform as soloists. Luis Armando will be in charge of the light show and projections.
At the beginning of the first and second parts, two audiovisuals will be presented, “Zarzuela” and “Ópera”, both made by Luis Armando.

Tickets can be purchased at Lacrosse (July 18, 1109) for 700 pesos for the numbered stalls, 500 pesos for the social gathering and 300 pesos for the upper stalls. Before the show, also at the Florencio Sánchez box office.
