An expedition to the deep sea ridge, right north of the Hawaii Islands, revealed a surprising discovery. There is a base of ancient dry lakes coated with something that looks like a yellow brick road.

The terrible view was accidentally discovered by Nautilus exploration ships in 2022, while conducting a Liliʻuokalani ridge survey in the National Monument of the Papahānaumokuākea (PMNM).

PMNM is one of the largest marine conservation areas in the world, greater than all national parks in the United States when combined, and new scientists explore around 3% of the seabed.

Quoted from Live Science, researchers at the Ocean Exploration Trust are exploring these wild natural boundaries, which are located more than 3,000 meters under waves, and the best parts are, anyone can witness the exploration.

The footage of the expedition recording published on Youtube in April 2022 captured the moment when the researchers who operated a sea vehicle in finding a way to OZ.

“This is the road to Atlantis,” A researcher sounded exclaimed through the radio.

“Yellow brick road?” said another voice.

“This is strange,” added other team members.

Although it is located below a depth of about a thousand meters, the base of the lake found by researchers at the top of Mount Laut Nootka looks very dry.

On the radio, the team noted that the ground seemed almost like a ‘grilled crust’ that could be peeled. In one small part, volcanic rocks have cracked in such a way that it looks very similar to bricks.

“The 90 degree unique crack is likely to be related to the pressure of heating and cooling from several eruptions on the edge of this roasted,” the statement said on the YouTube video.

At first glance, the effect is easy to be misinterpreted as a path to a beautiful new world. And in some cases, it is not entirely wrong.

Tracing the brick path is a sign that we are in the right direction and can immediately learn more about the hidden geology of the earth.
