Two minutes into the second quarter of Wyoming’s regional semifinal game, senior center Carlyle Billingsley picked up his second foul on a basket, which gave Alter a lead.
Instead of sending him to the bench as a precaution, Wyoming head coach Matt Rooks kept his 6-foot-8 threat in the game. Billingsley lived dangerously for three minutes, altering one layup attempt to cause a miss, and blocking two others before taking a brief rest.
