The messaging platform WhatsApp develops a function so that your temporary messages disappear automatically immediately after reading them. This tool seeks to raise the levels of privacy within user conversations.
Currently, temporary messages allow you to configure chats so that content is deleted in fixed periods of 24 hours, seven days or 90 days. The app also offers the option to send photos and video single display for individual files, which disappear once the recipient opens them.
The specialized portal WABetaininfo reported that the company plans to integrate this capability into temporary messages. According to the site, the new option will allow you to choose to have the contents of a conversation deleted after reading them.
By selecting the ‘after reading’ option, messages will be automatically deleted 15 minutes after reading. If the recipient does not open the message, it will disappear after completion. 24 hours.
This novelty appeared in the beta application for Android 2.26.12.2. The function remains in the development stage and the intention is for it to reach users in an upcoming service update.
