Two members of the radical group Weichan Auka Mapu (WAM) received a 24-year prison sentence for possessing war weapons and ammunition in Tirúa, Bío Bío. Miguel Llanquileo Cona and Eric Montoya Montoya were arrested with grenades, a submachine gun, a carbine and 500 ammunition of different calibers. The grenades, of national origin, had been delivered to a military unit.
The Cañete Prosecutor’s Office obtained sentences in total of 24 years in prison for the individuals convicted of violations of the weapons and reception law. Among the weapons seized from the subjects were nationally manufactured grenades that had been delivered to a military unit in the north of the country.
