Virginia Giuffre, known for accusing Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, was privately laid to rest following her death in Western Australia.
Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse as a victim of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, has been buried after a private funeral service. Giuffre, 41, was found dead at her home in Western Australia last month. She is survived by her three children.
Authorities believe that she took her own life on the farm she shared with her husband in Neergabby, which is located approximately 50 miles north of Perth. Police were called to the family residence on April 25,responding to a report at approximately 10 p.m. after she was found unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Giuffre, a victim of trafficking by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, was cremated this week at Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park in Padbury, according to reports. The funeral arrangements were not publicized, and the service was an intimate gathering of family and close friends.
Her death occurred weeks after she made a cryptic social media post claiming she had just “four days to live.” She also stated that she had been involved in a major crash with a school bus near her home, although police later characterized the incident as minor.
Police have stated that Giuffre’s death is not considered suspicious and are preparing a thorough report for the coroner. At the time of her death, Giuffre was facing a charge of breaching a family violence restraining order filed by her estranged husband, Robert Giuffre. The charge was later dropped after the court was informed that the allegation stemmed from claims that she had sent her husband multiple text messages.
The couple had relocated to Perth in 2020 and purchased a $1.2 million oceanfront property with six bedrooms and four bathrooms. Giuffre is survived by her three children: Christian, Emily, and Noah.
According to a family statement, Giuffre was inspired to “fight back against those who had abused her and so many others” when she held her newborn daughter. The statement continued, “She was heroic and will always be remembered for her incredible courage and loving spirit. the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”
Giuffre’s Allegations Against Epstein and Prince Andrew
Giuffre rose to prominence as one of Epstein’s most vocal victims after filing a lawsuit in a new York court in 2015. She alleged that the billionaire Wall Street financier and his longtime associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, had recruited her as a teenager. She claimed she was kept as a “sex slave” by the pair after being groomed while she was working at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.
Giuffre alleged she was “passed around like a platter of fruit” to Epstein’s rich and powerful friends in a 2019 interview with the BBC. One of those friends, she claimed, was Prince Andrew, the favorite son of Queen Elizabeth II. She alleged that she was forced to have sex with the prince when she was 17,and that the encounters took place in London, the US,and on Epstein’s private island,Little St. James.

Prince Andrew has always strenuously denied the allegations against him. He ultimately agreed to a civil sexual abuse lawsuit settlement with Giuffre for an estimated $16.3 million. Andrew and Giuffre were pictured together arm-in-arm in an infamous photo reportedly taken at Maxwell’s London home, although the prince claimed he had no recollection of meeting her in a 2019 interview with the BBC.
