The Municipality of Sarmiento launched a health campaign to combat vinchuca. From the Center for Zoonoses and Vector Control, in conjunction with the Ministry of Health of the province, a comprehensive operation of sanitary evaluation and fumigation that reached the animal pens. This intervention was carried out in the community of Las Lagunas del Rosario, and will be extended to other locations during the summer.
The Chagas preventive operation included taking blood samples for analysis. During this comprehensive operation in the town of Las Lagunas del Rosario, a biochemist from the Provincial Vector Control Program, dependent on the Ministry of Health, took serological samples from the inhabitants of the place to rule out the presence of Trypanosoma cruzi (Chagas). Likewise, samples of triatomines were collected, which will be analyzed by the aforementioned program.

During the day, the sanitation of domestic animals was also carried out, through vaccination and deworming, with the aim of preventing diseases, especially in boys and girls under 11 years of age, guaranteeing a healthier environment for the entire community. Added to this was also the fumigation in each of the homes in this town as well as in all the animal pens.
From the Municipality of Sarmiento they reported that this type of operations will continue during the summer season to reach the residents of all localities in the department, since these actions are part of the commitment of both the municipality and the province with prevention, health care and well-being of residents.
