breaking the Silver Streak: A Golden Ambition

After years of near misses, the Vietnamese Women’s Volleyball team is resolutely focused on securing the gold medal at the upcoming 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games). This ambition, fueled by both internal drive and external expectations, marks a significant shift in the team’s approach to the competition.

In 2025, the Vietnamese Volleyball Women’s team will participate in many significant tournaments. Its main objective is the Southeast Asian Games. After many years of silver medals,it is the frist time that the Vietnamese women’s female team has been aiming for gold.

Nguyen Tuan kiet, the team’s head coach, acknowledged the pressure associated with this heightened ambition during a recent sponsor launch ceremony in Hanoi. He emphasized the team’s collective effort to transform this pressure into motivation during their rigorous training sessions.

Facing the Host: A Challenging Path to Victory

The road to gold won’t be easy. The Vietnamese team faces a notably tough challenge at the SEA Games in Thailand, where they will have to contend with the formidable home team advantage. Tri Truong, president of the Vietnamese Volleyball Federation, highlighted the difficulty of this objective, acknowledging the fierce competition expected from the host nation.
