Dell Technologies Surges 25% To Record High On…

The AI Boom: Dell’s Surge a Sign of Rising Adoption

On Friday, Dell Technologies witnessed a record surge of 25%, hitting an intra-day high following an optimistic annual forecast. The surge added $17.7 billion to the company’s market value and was its best performance yet. This is yet another sign that the rising adoption of AI is driving gains across enterprise technology vendors, creating a frenzy on Wall Street after Nvidia’s rally.

Dell COO Jeff Clarke noted that “We have positioned ourselves well in AI,” since more customers are demanding PCs and servers with AI capabilities. In the fourth quarter, orders for the company’s AI-optimized servers leaped by 40% sequentially including their flagship PowerEdge XE9680.” At least nine brokerages have raised their price targets on Dell this year alone.

“Dell’s AI business showed strong progress on key metrics… commentary on the PC market was similar to HP’s: that a rebound is coming but it is being pushed out to the second half of the year,” noted analysts at Bernstein.

Dell’s Struggle and Rise

This recent upside in Dell’s business comes after two challenging years as worldwide computer sales tumbled sharply down. While revenue dropped less-than-expected during its Q4 period,

More Than Eleven Thousand Hotel Rooms To Be…

The year will be busy for tourism and crafts, but the projects of the future are already being prepared.

“To accommodate one million tourists by 2028, we will need to have thirty-seven thousand seats per week in air transport and eleven thousand five hundred rooms to build. This should create numerous direct and indirect jobs, following our three preferred axes which are the stimulation of investments, the promotion of the destination and capacity building. If tourists come en masse, it is feared that we will not have sufficient staff to meet the requirements imposed,” predicts Joël Randriamandranto, Minister of Tourism and Crafts, during his last meeting with journalists on Tuesday February 13 in his office in Tsimbazaza.

Concerning investments in the hotel industry, the supervisory ministry intends to relaunch four projects with international partners. The sites to host them have been identified and they will benefit from relaxed tax measures, following presidential directives during the National Investors Forum in October at the Ivato International Conference Center.
