The seaside town of Wilmington in North Carolina was the scene of a very surprising scene this Tuesday, August 19. Shortly before midday, a 46-year-old man, identified as Jason Lee Beach, according to Fox News, lost control of his vehicle and struck a gas driving, near a veterinary clinic. This accident caused a violent explosion. According to the American media ABC News, the officials of the Wilmington police department said that the driver was in flight offense at the time of the facts.
On the images captured by a witness present on site, we can see a multitude of debris fly in the air a few moments after the explosion. A plume of smoke and flames emerge from the driving of gas, one of the pipes of which was broken by the accident.

Very quickly, a firefighter squadron went there. But about twenty minutes later, the leakage of the gas driving caused the explosion, injuring four firefighters. One of them suffers from serious burns to the hands but their state of health is no longer deemed to be concerned.
According to Wilmington police, the driver was fled before being arrested later. He was charged with drunk driving, flight offense and possession of equipment for drug use.
The firefighters were able to put out the fire in the morning, while the veterinary center announced on its website a reopening of the building scheduled for September 2025.
