The United States has issued a strong warning to Nicolás Maduro,rejecting what it calls “the electoral farce in the Esequibo.” this statement comes in response to the call by Chavismo for a vote in the state of Guyana Esequiba, a territory in dispute with Guyana, which was created last year.
The U.S. has explicitly stated that it rejects “all attempts by Nicolás Maduro and its illegitimate regime of undermining Guyana’s territorial integrity including this last electoral farce in the Esequibo region.”
