The attack, which utilized an Iskander-M ballistic missile with a cluster warhead, targeted a densely populated residential area, resulting in numerous casualties, including children. Such actions, according to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, may constitute war crimes and severely undermine any prospects for peaceful resolution.

The attack on Krivoy Rog resulted in the deaths of 20 people,including 9 children,and left 75 others injured,including 12 children. The use of cluster munitions in populated areas is a grave concern, given their indiscriminate nature and the potential for long-term harm to civilians.
