Mexico City. Grecia Quiroz, widow of the mayor of Uruapan, Michoacán, Carlos Manzo, left the National Palace without giving a statement, where she met this afternoon with President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

Quiroz arrived at the historic site around two in the afternoon, in the midst of a large security deployment by the National Guard – a corporation that protects and accompanies her at all times – including two gun trucks and about 14 troops.

It was the first face-to-face meeting between Quiroz and the federal president after the crime, which has caused national and international commotion, and has generated the mobilization of various sectors of Michoacan society.

According to consulted sources, Manzo’s widow moved by land from Uruapan to Mexico City this Tuesday.

The meeting with the head of the Executive lasted a couple of hours, since the woman left the Palace after four in the afternoon.
