A Region Celebrates Heritage: The “Bibline” Rally returns
The annual “Bibline” rally, a significant cultural event in Russia, is set to unfold for the 14th time. This year’s rally is particularly poignant, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. The ulyanovsk Region is actively participating, hosting a series of thematic events across its extensive library network on april 25th and 26th.
Extensive Program Across Ulyanovsk Libraries
over 350 thematic platforms will be activated, with 36 located within regional libraries, offering a diverse range of activities for all ages. This widespread engagement underscores the importance of cultural preservation and education within the community.
“Your Heroes”: A Unifying Theme
The Ministry of culture has announced that all events will be united under the theme your Heroes
. This theme aims to highlight books and stories that celebrate the valor and sacrifices of those who defended the homeland. The program is designed to appeal to a broad audience, from young children to adults, fostering intergenerational engagement.
Family support, preservation of traditions and education through culture today are in the center of state policy. We are actively implementing the new national project “Family”, the purpose of which is the creation of conditions for well -being, harmonious growth and cultural enrichment of each Russian family.

Spotlight on Key Events
Several key events are planned across the region’s libraries:
- Ulyanovsk Regional Scientific Library named after V.I. Lenin: The “Biblioch” program will commence on April 25th at 17:00 with “Walners of Heaven” (6+), featuring 18 thematic sites and approximately 30 events.
- Ulyanovsk Regional Special Library for the Blind: An interactive program, “Big Space Journey” (6+), will offer a unique experience, including quests and introductions to books published in relief-point font, relief-graphic manuals, and tactile publications.
- regional Library for Children and Youth named after S.T. Aksakova: from 17:00 to 21:00,visitors can participate in the “Your Heroes” (6+) program,featuring the interactive performance “Soldier’s Glory – Udal Molodskaya” (6+) by actors from the Ulyanovsk Puppet theater. A photo exhibition, “Generations Dialog” (6+), will also be on display.
Interactive and Engaging Activities
The “Bibline” rally will feature a variety of interactive activities designed to engage participants of all ages. At the “Find Your Hero” (6+) site, library experts will provide guidance in searching publicly available databases and data portals for details on participants in the Great Patriotic War and the special military operation. Additionally, the State Song and Dance Ensemble “Volga” named after V.A. Ionova will present the “Victory Concert” (6+).
Region-Wide Initiatives
Libraries throughout the Ulyanovsk Region will launch the “Lines of victory” (6+) marathon, featuring public readings of works about the war. Furthermore,meetings with invited guests will provide opportunities to hear personal stories about the heroism of relatives who fought at the front or contributed to the war effort in the rear. Other activities include quests, quizzes, poetry readings, memory evenings, literary and musical compositions, theatrical programs, film screenings, correspondence excursions, and master classes.
