This was reported by Roman, a drone operator of Ukraine’s 148th Artillery Brigade. His colleague Ruslan confirmed that the progress of the Ukrainian army on this front is obvious.

“As soon as we started working in this direction, there were a lot of enemy targets. We didn’t catch up everywhere. Now, where we reach, only 2-3 targets remain in our operational zone, so it can be seen that they are decreasing,” said Ruslan.

He added that as the Russians retreat, aerial reconnaissance has to be carried out at a distance of 30-40 km.

Ukrainian soldiers also said that progress on this front was partly due to the Russian military being cut off from the Starlink satellite internet system, making it much more difficult for it to coordinate its forces.

It is said that during a month of fighting in this sector, the Ukrainian army liberated about 300 square kilometers of territory, which is about 10 settlements.

Serhiy Kolesnichenko, an officer of the 148th brigade’s communications department, said that the main goal is to disrupt Russian plans to expand combat operations in the direction of Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, weaken the enemy’s ability to attack and push Russian units away from the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk region.

On March 9, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, emphasized that the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to move forward in this direction and seek to take the initiative.

At the time, on March 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the Ukrainian military had already re-established control over an area of approximately 400-435 square kilometers.
