GROSSETO – The first round ended in the second phase of the Uisp series A and B championships, with Pathetic and Pezzotto becoming winter champions at the halfway point.
In Serie A, in fact, Poli’s team beat Bivio Ravi (Braile 3) 10 to 5 and repelled the attack of their pursuers, with an excellent team performance in which the braces of Angelino, Magini and Betti stood out. Another great goal achieved by a “rookie” team, even though it had already stood out in the past for the quality and futurism of its squad. Behind the league leaders, Atletico Barbiere and Los Ladrones emerge: Di Girolamo’s boys prevail 4-3 against a healthy Udpc Gs, but who have to bow before Bruni’s trio, while the hat-trick from the returning Raffaele Scala gets Nucciotti and his teammates back on track, who prevail with a 6-4 tennis win over Sbronzi di Riace. Finally, the first success of this phase is achieved by Immobiliare Rossi, who relies on Pieri’s poker to weaken Tpt Pavimenti’s attempt at a comeback in the rankings: the final result is 6 to 5.
In Serie B, however, as mentioned, Pezzotto finished at the top in the middle of the championship, with Petroselli’s team trying to increase the margin compared to the rest of the team. The challenge with the positive Ac Campetto was spectacular and very uncertain, only going down 9 to 8 at the end of a vibrant match in which the five Lunghi bombers shined. With the match between Fc Abitando and Cassai Gomme postponed to next week, the Celestini took advantage of the situation to temporarily move into second place with a 5-1 win over Vets, in which Lanzini’s hat-trick was decisive, while the usual Ferrini was not enough for Sciangai to move the table: in fact, the former team of the current top scorer, the Underdogz, went through 6-5 thanks to the poker of the timeless Manuel Peruzzi.
In Serie C the long-distance duel between Car Center and Endurance Team continues, with Iacchini’s team once again fending off the assault of president-captain Meattini’s team. Ciacci and Gabriele De Luca, as often happens, are the solvers of the Endurance Team’s match, which beats quite clearly (8-3) another big team like Baraonda, but Gabriele Fazzi, with his brace, paves the way for the tennis victory (6-4) of the Car Center against Gorarella Mobilino 2 (Nicotini 3). The third wheel of the group remains Chigiotti’s Barbagianni Carrozzeria Tirrena, which relies on the poker of Priore and Vincenzo De Luca to beat Ristorante Celeste (Tusa 4) 10 to 6, while the Raia-Gjuzi duo fuels the excellent moment of Poggione, who obtains their second consecutive success with 7 to 5 over the Avengers (Stringara 3). Finally, a Solomonic draw between Podere Curtatone and Angolo Pratiche: in the 7-7 final the quadruplets of Marchi on one side and Ceri on the other stand out. FC Aura was resting.
