The police confirmed that there was abuse with a sharp weapon (sajam) against the student victim, Faradila (23), by R (21) on the Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University (UIN Suska) campus. The victim has also received treatment from the medical team at Bhayangkara Pekanbaru Hospital.
“I have met directly with the team of doctors from Bhayangkara Hospital, the doctor, whose name is Dr. Ana, and was also attended by the victim’s uncle on behalf of Mr. Iwan, and also the Deputy Chancellor 3, Mr. Haris, who came to the location,” explained the Head of Public Relations of the Riau Regional Police, Police Commissioner. Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, Thursday (26/2/26).
Police Commissioner. Pandra explained that according to the treating doctor, the victim’s condition was gradually improving. However, for further treatment the victim will be referred to a hospital with more complete facilities.
“It was quite stable after the incident, but to provide the best service, he was still referred to the Regional General Hospital in Pekanbaru City, namely the Arifin Achmad Hospital,” he said.
According to Police Commissioner. Pandra, there were a total of three cuts on the victim’s body. This condition means the victim still requires further medical treatment.
