Former President Donald Trump discusses the upcoming 2026 World Cup,security measures,and fan entry processes during an event at the White House.
WASHINGTON (dpa) – Donald Trump responded to a question regarding the location for the draw of the 2026 World Cup. A journalist inquired whether the former US President would be involved in drawing teams in Washington. “I don’t know,” murmured Trump, pointing to FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “He is the boss.”
The world association chief acknowledged the suggestion. “This is an interesting proposal,” said Infantino. “We will discuss that.” The two figures have appeared together on multiple occasions in recent months. Trump previously announced the venue for the Los-Gala.The Kennedy Center in the US capital will host the draw, where teams qualified for the World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada will discover their group opponents.

The 2026 tournament, featuring 48 nations across the USA, Mexico, and Canada, is scheduled to begin on June 11th in Mexico city, wiht the final taking place on July 19th in East Rutherford near New york.
