Tucker Carlson has been Donald Trump’s constant weapon bearer for many years. So much so that his lies about the 2020 election got him kicked out of Fox News, where he was long the biggest star.
After that, he has always been close to the president. Often as an informal advisor. Sometimes as a critic. As for Iran, Trump has not listened – and that has set off a huge fight between the two Maga giants. Recently, Tucker Carlsson called the attacks on Iran “disgusting and evil”.
– Tucker has lost his way, Donald Trump told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl.
– I have known it for a long time, and he is not Maga. Maga saves our country. Maga is making our country great again. Maga is USA first. And Tucker is none of those things. And Tucker isn’t really smart enough to understand that, he continues.
“Eternal wars” would be stopped
Tucker Carlson responds to the president’s antics in an interview with independent journalist Oliver Darcy, formerly of CNN, now author of the popular newsletter The Status.
– There are times when I get annoyed with Trump. Right now is definitely one such occasion. But I will always love him, says Carlson.
Tucker Carlson is not the only prominent Maga advocate to be angered by the attacks on Iran. Ending all “eternal wars” has been a talking point in the movement and with Donald Trump.
– No one should have to die for another country. I don’t think the American soldiers died for the United States, they died for Iran or for Israel, Megyn Kelly, another longtime Fox News profiler, said earlier this week.
