The president of the United States, Donald Trumpsaid this Wednesday that Venezuela has committed to buying “exclusively” products produced in your countrywith the money that is the product of their new oil agreement.
In a Truth Social publication, the president has revealed that “Venezuela will exclusively buy products manufactured in the United States with the money it receives from our new Oil agreement.”
Trump added that the purchases will include “agricultural products, medicines, medical devices and equipment made in the United States.”
With this new announcement the US will become Venezuela’s “main partner”according to the Republican.
The announcement comes 24 hours after it was confirmed that Caracas is about to hand over to the United States between 30 to 50 million barrels of oil.
The White House assured this Wednesday that it maintains “the maximum influence” about the interim government of Delcy Rodríguez in Venezuela and affirmed that the US has already begun to market crude oil from the Caribbean country seized by Washington as part of the apparent agreement reached between both countries.
“(Venezuela) will no longer send or traffic people or criminal cartels to murder American citizens, as they have done in the past, and the president is fully implementing his foreign policy of peace through force,” said US presidential spokesperson Karoline Leavitt this afternoon.
