MOSCOW – Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said United States (US) President Donald Trump could trigger World War III with a regime change operation in Iran. He called it a “criminal” operation.

In an interview with the news agency TASS, Medvedev, who once served as Russia’s president, was asked whether World War III had begun.

“Technically, no, but if Trump continues his crazy streak of regime change [secara] criminal, it will definitely start. And any event can be a trigger. Anything,” he said.

According to him, the attack on Iran is part of a broader war by the US and its allies to maintain global dominance.

Medvedev said Trump made a big mistake by killing Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. “Putting all Americans at risk,” he said.
