A truck was involved in an accident and ended up overturned on the exclusive route of the Metropolitanoin the south lane, near the Central Station of this service, in Cercado de Lima.
A team of RPP arrived at the scene and found that the unidentified driver got out of the vehicle on his own and, apparently, has not been injured.
At the close of this report, the car remains overturned – with the tires facing up – in the middle of the traffic lane. Metropolitanso the transit of buses for this service is interrupted.
Accident under investigation
The causes of this accident are the subject of investigation, in order to clarify the circumstances in which the truck overturned and ended up in the middle of the exclusive road of the Metropolitan.
It is worth mentioning that, according to information from the National Superintendence of Public Registries (Sunarp), the damaged truck is listed in the name of the Congress of the Republic.
Through its official social networks, the Urban Transportation Authority of Lima and Callao (MORE) reported that, due to the accident, “there are delays in service.”
“ATU personnel, with support from the PNP, are on site to guarantee the continuity of the service. Buses circulate in contraflow. “It is recommended to take precautions,” the institution indicated.

Exclusive Metropolitan route was freed
Minutes after 7:00 am, the MORE reported that the damaged truck was removed from the exclusive lane of the Metropolitano, freeing the exclusive north-south lane. “The buses circulate normally”indicated the entity.
