This tourist group from Taiwan was lectured by the tour guide who accompanied them during their holiday to Jeju Island, South Korea. The reason is because they only spend a little.

As reported mothershipWednesday (8/10/2025) this group of tourists vacationed on Jeju Island for 4 nights. On the last day of the holiday, they were taken to a shopping place to look for souvenirs. The guide advised them to at least buy some face masks.

However, after trying several products, it turned out that none of them were suitable. Then these tourists decided to get back on the bus.

To their surprise, while on the bus the tour guide who accompanied them actually grumbled. He felt humiliated because the group of tourists he accompanied only spent a little. He argued that these products, such as face masks, were not very expensive, and they would also buy these products in other stores.

The tour group actually purchased products worth more than S$1,400 (almost IDR 18 million). But tour guides think this number is still insufficient.

After the video of him getting angry went viral, the travel company finally apologized.

This annoying tour guide behavior happens quite often. In the middle of 2024, there will also be many tour guides in China who are angry because tourists don’t want to shop at the place of their choice.

He was annoyed because his group spent less than IDR 2 million and cursed at them.

Back again to 2023, still in China, the tour guide went berserk when the group of tourists he brought didn’t do any shopping and just looked around.

This tour guide took his group to a number of shops selling gems. However, most tourists don’t shop, just look around.

I don’t know why this tour guide got emotional and threatened to cancel the trip. He even said he would leave the group where they were if they didn’t spend money.
