Mr. Bola Babarinde, the former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in South Africa, has expressed his support for the reconciliation between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.He characterized the development as a important relief and a positive step forward for both the party and the country.

In a statement released to the News agency of Nigeria (NAN) in LAGOS on Tuesday, Babarinde, who also serves as the general Secretary of Renewed Hope Global, commented on the recent resolution. the reconciliation occurred after President Tinubu announced his forgiveness of Governor sanwo-Olu, confirming that any previous disagreements had been resolved. These remarks were made during a private meeting with members of the Lagos state Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) last Saturday.

“Thankfully, the recent reconciliation between President Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu offers great relief,” Babarinde stated. “It is indeed a positive sign not just for Lagos but for yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole. Peace in Lagos means stability for the entire nation.”

He commended President Tinubu, also known as Asiwaju of Yorubaland, for his wisdom, forgiveness, and political maturity in reuniting with Governor Sanwo-Olu. Babarinde described Sanwo-Olu as a dedicated supporter who worked tirelessly for tinubu during the 2023 elections, despite challenges in Lagos.
