Former NBA star Ricky Rubio, known for his exceptional passing skills, recently shared a message reflecting on his basketball journey.

The Spanish point guard, who played six seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves, took to X last week to express his thoughts.

In a post on June 5, Rubio stated: “… I took this year to reflect on my career and my life, and I’ve realized that if I’ve gotten to where I am today, it’s not because of the assists I’ve given, but because of the assists I’ve received.This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a thank you to all the people who have helped me along the way.”

A follow-up post on June 6 read: “… thanks to everyone.We follow! Thank you all. We continue! Thank you all. Let’s keep going!”

The Timberwolves responded to Rubio’s message with their own post on June 6, writing: “thank you for all the memories, Ricky 💙”

Rubio had a second stint with the Timberwolves later in his career. During his time in Minnesota, he averaged 10.1 points,4.1 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 2.0 steals in 421 games, shooting 37.7% from the field and 31.3% from three-point range.
