Young athletes from Thurgau showcased their skills at the recent youth club competition. The Tägerwil device gymnastics and athletics team achieved a total grade of 28.88, highlighted by a perfect 10.00 in the pendulum relay. Gymnasts from the gymnastics factory also performed strongly, with Gilles Damur scoring 78.975 in the P3 category and Nino Zimmermann securing third place. In P2, Jules Delaloye also earned a bronze medal, along with Eloi Xavi.

Tägerwil Teams Dominate Gymnastics for Two

In the device gymnastics for two category, where active participants and youth were assessed together, the Tägerwilen teams stood out. Azra Sarikaya and kim Allegra Wehrli secured victory with a grade of 19.08. Despite a strong showing, Katja Kellenberger from Eschlikon and Xeno Oettli from the gymnastics factory narrowly missed the podium in their final competition. Celine Bürgi from Eschlikon impressed with a perfect 10.00 on a single device.

The competition continued with individual events in categories 5 to 7, as well as for women and men. Thurgau athletes delivered solid performances and earned several awards, although the final rankings are still pending.In aerobics,Sommeri achieved a notable grade of 9.72 in the couple competition with Patrizia Buholzer and Sina Germann.

The final results in the gymnastics competition will be determined with the ranking announcements during the second weekend, but Thurgau athletes have already demonstrated strong potential.

Podium Hopes in Gymnastics Competition

Andrea Bitzer from Wigoltingen achieved a maximum score of 30 points in the women’s gymnastics competition. Melanie Lüscher from Guntershausen scored 29.63 in the active category, closely followed by Priska Burgermeister from Wilen-Nunforn with 29.50. Fabian Rechsteiner from Eggethof (29.2) and Sandro Bücheler from Oberaach (29.18) are also hoping for podium finishes in the active gymnasts category.
