In a series of Facebook publications, Jasmine Jasmin, the victim’s daughter, has indignantly reported that the County prosecutor’s office recently withdrew one of the accusations against Alejandro Hurtado-Reyes, appointed as the leader of the criminal organization FBM, which is currently on bail.
“We ask you to be cautious, because this individual has been described as dangerous,” he wrote.
The young woman remembered that her father had been attacked in the morning of August 3 by five hooded and armed individuals, who had blocked the van in which he was traveling with other people.
After opening fire on the vehicle, Mondragón tried to run away on foot, but was reached by Héctor Yohany Aurog Batlle, who died fatally. Then, another of the attackers stole his personal effects, including money, a mobile phone and a watch.
The accused, all Cubans, are called Yanaris Reyes (29), Alejandro Hurtado-Reyes (22), Antonio González (17), Yurisander Góngora Rojas (19) and Héctor Yohany Augment Batlle (19). They were arrested a few days later.
They face charges of murder in the first degree, although the family fears that weak sureties and the abolition of accusations will put them in the streets.
