3 Words Effectively Parry Criticism 2024-02-28 18:00:41

With them, you can end it immediately or even turn it in your favor, say communication experts

“The right person” is the new special project of “24 hours” about professional success, career growth, personal development, workplace relations, about good practices of employers, about news from the HR sector and management, about vacancies.

This nuisance – criticism – is inevitable for anyone who works. Sometimes the employee takes her away from the boss for no particular reason. Another time a colleague decides to play smart and shine. However, lessons can be learned from every criticism.

For this to happen, you must accept that you are not without sin. The person criticizing you does not necessarily want to insult or attack you. It is quite natural in a team of smart and well-intentioned people to have different opinions and assessments. The more open you are to hearing them and making sense of them, the more success you will have. Even unfair and malicious criticisms are valuable because they show the attitude, the claims, the ambitions of the one who makes them. And by getting to know him better, you will be prepared for what to expect from him in the future.

Wendy’s, the popular burger chain, has recently clarified its stance on pricing strategies amidst rumors of surge pricing. The company’s CEO, Kirk Tanner, had mentioned during a conference call with investors and industry analysts that they would be testing features like dynamic pricing and daypart offerings, along with AI-enabled menu changes and suggestive selling. However, Wendy’s has now confirmed that surge pricing will not be implemented.

The concept of surge pricing, also known as dynamic pricing, has been successfully employed by companies like Uber to manage customer demand during peak times or when resources are limited. Prices fluctuate based on demand, ensuring a balance between supply and demand. While this strategy has proven effective for some businesses, Wendy’s wants to assure its customers that surge pricing will not be part of their approach.

In response to the media frenzy surrounding the CEO’s comments, Wendy’s released a statement clarifying their intentions. The company emphasized that any future features they decide to test will be designed to benefit their customers and restaurant crew members. They explicitly stated, “Wendy’s will not implement surge pricing, which is the practice of raising prices when demand is highest.”

The sensational leap in banks’ interest margins in 2023 is there for all to see: +45% is the average increase in revenues generated by institutions from one year to the next thanks to lending activity. What now remains to be understood is how 2024 will go. With what final outcomes?

The banks, to tell the truth, have no doubts: 2024 will still be characterized by a top interest margin, even admitting that the second half of the year, as expected, brings with it a contraction in interest rates interest. As announced by the bankers in the round of presenta tion of the 2023 accounts, at the end of the year the net interest margin on average is expected to be in line or even above that of 2023. Thanks, the banks underline, to a hedging activity that has already begun successfully and which will allow you to protect yourself from the inversion of the interest rate curve.
