A Refreshing Summer Awaits: Waldbad taufkirchen opens april 26th
The popular Waldbad family pool in Taufkirchen is gearing up to welcome visitors for the summer season,commencing on April 26th. Residents and tourists alike can anticipate a range of activities and amenities designed to provide enjoyment for all ages.

Aquatic Amenities and Family Fun
The pool will initially open its non-swimmer section, ideal for children and those gaining confidence in the water. This area features a slide and floating toys, ensuring a playful surroundings. The main pool, boasting Olympic dimensions, will open shortly after, providing ample space for serious swimmers. A diving platform with 3- and 5-meter boards adds an element of excitement for thrill-seekers.
for younger children, a dedicated splash area with sun sails and a mini-slide maintains a comfortable water temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. Two kiosks offer refreshments, and a grilling station is available for those who prefer to bring their own food.Free loungers and parasols are provided for relaxation around the pool area.
Beyond Swimming: Activities for Everyone
The Waldbad offers more than just swimming. visitors can enjoy two beach volleyball courts, a children’s playground, a fitness area, table tennis, and even a chess area.These diverse options ensure that there’s something for everyone to enjoy,making it a perfect destination for a family day out.
Affordable Fun: Admission prices
A day ticket to the Waldbad costs €5. Reduced tickets for children (6-16 years) and other eligible individuals are available for €3.50.Families can take advantage of the family ticket for €9, and an evening ticket is offered for €3.50.Season tickets are also available for frequent visitors.
Inclusive Family Experience Day: July 5th
Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 5th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for the “Inclusive Family Experience Day.” This event features a variety of inclusive games both in the water and on the surrounding meadow. The event is sponsored by Taufkirchen’s mayor, Stefan Haberl, and Professor Peter Kapustin from the University of applied Management, in collaboration with the community’s inclusion forum, who are covering all costs.
This event is designed for families with children aged six and older, with and without disabilities. In the event of inclement weather, an alternative program will be held at the primeval museum.

Sports and Events Galore
The Waldbad will also host a variety of sporting events throughout the summer. On July 5th, the Alpine Club will hold the 1st Taufkirchen Boulder Cup, open to all participants.The qualification phase is scheduled for Saturday,May 4th. Weekly climbing meetings take place at the climbing tower, which includes a bouldering hall, offering supervised climbing for children and adolescents, as well as an open inclusive climbing club. Free taster bouldering sessions are available on the small wall on the forest pool side.
Furthermore, the German unicycle Association will organize the 1st unicycle triathlon at the Waldbad on June 14th, and an underwater hockey tournament is scheduled for July 12th.
