“I guess it’s because I try to do it well and that’s where insecurities are exposed. In fact, I’m less afraid of speaking English when I do it badly, with a horrible accent or acting stupid,” he says. What helps Tamara García to overcome that modesty is to hide behind the clown.
She also confesses that, if she is in a group and realizes that there are people who speak worse than her, it helps her to get “very high.” “I feel as if I were bilingual. On the other hand, if there is someone next to me who speaks a little better than me, my heart races,” he says.
