Taekwondo Results: Italian Martial Arts Championships 2024

The Lower Land Taekwondokas from ASV Zadra-Fighting/Rothoblaas returned from the FITA-CONI Italian Taekwondo Masters Championships in Jesolo with a strong overall result. In total, the team secured four medals.

Markus Zadra won the title in the black belt heavyweight class over 80 kilograms. At 60 years old, Zadra was also the oldest participant in the entire tournament. Gabriele Cera won the silver medal in the black belt class up to 80 kilograms and thus crowned his season with the title of vizeitalien champion.

Bronze went to Toni Gurndin in the black belt class over 80 kilograms. After a break from competition for several years, he was back on the field for the first time and narrowly missed making it into the final with a score of 25:25. Karl Mall won another silver medal for the red belts (a graduation below black belt). The athlete, who trains in Kurtatsch and competes for a club from Giovo, impressed with a strong performance in the heavyweight class.
