The SwissSkills 2025 event in Bern is entering its final phase, with the trades championships culminating in an awards ceremony at PostFinance Arena on Saturday. The event has drawn visitors and school groups from across Switzerland, generating considerable enthusiasm for vocational training.

Organizers report a positive assessment midway through the event. Daniel Arn, president of the Swissskills Berne association, stated, “The first days of the SwissSkills 2025 show without ambiguity how much vocational training is anchored in Switzerland, and reflect the full potential of our young professional talents. Enthusiasm on the field, the quality of the trades championships and the enormous interest of schools and families represent a real validation for us.”

Arn emphasized that the success of SwissSkills 2025 is a collaborative effort involving professional associations, volunteers, economic partners, educators, and political figures, all committed to promoting vocational training. “The 2025 Swissskills are a collective work,” Arn noted.

The event has attracted a significant number of visitors,with 43% of school groups coming from French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino. “The strong representation of the French -speaking and Italophone classes is very happy with us. This is a sign that the 2025 Swissskills are perceived and appreciated in all regions of the country,” saeid Daniel Arn. According to reports, 26,000 students from the Romandie region have attended SwissSkills 2025.

SwissSkills 2025 features trades championships in 92 professions. Competitions are open to public viewing, and the final rankings will be persistent on Saturday, with the Swiss champions announced at the awards ceremony. The event will take place Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. at PostFinance Arena, before an audience of approximately 6,000. The awards ceremony will also be livestreamed,with results published from 11:30 p.m.

Following the awards ceremony, all stands will remain open on Sunday, offering “Try a Skill” areas where visitors can explore various trades through demonstrations, workshops, and interactions with young professionals.
