A recent study has revealed that a simple hygiene habit may be its largest ally against stroke and stroke infarcts and accidents (stroke). Failure to brush your teeth before bed significantly increases the risks to your cardiovascular health.

Japanese scientists accompanied 1,675 participants for 11 months, dividing them into groups with different brushing habits. The results point to the vital importance of complete oral hygiene, especially at night.

Participants were divided into four distinct groups, according to their daily brushing habits. One group brushed his teeth in the morning and evening (MN), another at night, a third in the morning, and one last group did not brush his teeth in any period of the day.
Why brushing your teeth is critical
Participating blood sample analyzes indicated that groups brushing their teeth twice a day, or at least at night, presented the best overall health results. Factors such as age, gender and smoking history were also considered in data evaluation.
The great revelation of the study is that periodontal disease, a severe inflammation of the gum caused by poor brushing, acts as the main catalyst for cardiovascular events. It not only causes damage to the teeth and can lead to loss and make chewing difficult, but also directly impacts the heart and brain.
