According to law enforcement officials, the victim was admitted to Regions Hospital on Wednesday afternoon suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Despite medical intervention, the man was pronounced dead shortly after 3 p.m.

Investigators believe the shooting occurred inside an apartment building located in the 600 block of Stryker Avenue. Sgt. Toy Vixayvong stated that the victim was related to residents of the building, but it remains unclear whether he also resided there. Sgt. vixayvong added that the victim and the suspect were acquainted, but further details about their relationship have not been released.
