SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – After a months-long investigation, Springfield police have arrested a man in connection to a shooting from over the summer.
Officers arrested 19-year-old Jahmir Appoletio on Thursday on State Street.
On the night of July 2, 2025, police said they responded to ShotSpotter activations on Marion and McKnight Streets. They then found a damaged car on Marion Street and a home hit by gunfire on Girard Avenue.
Appoletio now faces several firearms charges from that incident.
