Spotify Lossless Germany & Apple Vision Pro Trade-In – News

Back in September, Spotify announced that it would give premium subscription users the option of lossless playback of music. However, users initially could not find this option in the settings. The rollout of the feature now seems to have ended: Anyone who has booked the paid tariff can play songs in up to 24 bits at 44.1 kilohertz (FLAC format) at no additional charge, provided the output device supports lossless.

To do this, users call up their profile picture and the item “Settings and data protection” and then “Media quality”. You can choose between different options: Whether playback is lossless can be determined separately for WLAN and mobile phone connections as well as downloads. This division makes perfect sense: According to Spotify, 0.14 gigabytes per hour go over the airwaves when streaming in “very high” quality, while with lossless it is 1 gigabyte over the same period of time.

The regular premium tariff costs 12.99 euros per month, students pay a reduced rate (6.99 euros). There is also a subscription for two accounts (17.99 euros) and one for up to six accounts (21.99 euros).

Vision Pro M2 not eligible for trade-in program
Apple offers the convenient option of handing in an old device for trade-in: the credit will then be applied to the purchase of a new product. This works for the Mac, Apple Watch, iPad and iPhone. In the USA, the company even accepts many Android smartphones. What is noticeable, however, is that the Vision Pro is not a qualified product for the trade-in program.

Although the first generation Vision Pro is only a year old, the headset is not eligible for trade-in at Apple. This somewhat strange approach is likely to offend those interested in the Apple Vision Pro M5 who still own a model from the first series.
