Sinner World No. 1: Latest Updates & Rankings

by Archynetys Sports Desk

Jannik Sinner wins a tournament in Paris with double success.

The South Tyrolean won the final against Felix Auger-Aliassime 6:4 and 7:6 (4). This means he returns to the top of the ATP world rankings on Monday and displaces long-term rival Carlos Alcaraz.

The South Tyrolean wins 91 percent of the points when he serves first. Over the entire match, which lasted almost two hours, he didn’t have to fend off a single breakball.

It was still a successful week for his final opponent Auger-Aliassime. The Canadian will appear in eighth place in the world rankings and, more importantly, he has overtaken Lorenzo Musetti in the Race to Turin and is also in eighth place.

The two tournaments in Metz and Athens (both ATP-250) will decide who takes last place.
