Toronto (Canada), Nov 1 (EFE).- Venezuelan Miguel Rojas, one of the heroes of the Major League title won this Saturday by the Los Angeles Dodgers over the Toronto Blue Jays, highlighted the weight of the double achieved by the Angelenos: “Double for the first time in 25 years, what do you think?”
The Los Angeles Dodgers were crowned Major League champions for the second consecutive year, after winning the epic, in the second extra inning, the seventh game of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays (5-4), in which Venezuelan Miguel Rojas hit the tying home run in the ninth and Will Smith hit the title-winning home run.
“It came at the most important moment of my career, in front of the city of Los Angeles, I can’t describe the emotions I felt, not only in the game. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the trust of my teammates and the coach who believed in me,” Rojas said in statements to ‘FOX’ at the end of the seventh game of the World Series.
“It’s a great feeling, winning the World Series in the seventh game. The Dodgers have done so much for baseball, people should be very proud of this team. We started in Japan and finished in Canada. We are excited. Double for the first time in 25 years, what do you think?”, stated the Venezuelan.
