The woman from Ottershausen has been involved for over 30 years. She runs FC Ottershausen and helps people in need.
Haimhausen – At the end of the year, the community of Haimhausen is giving away a gift whose value cannot be quantified. The community’s volunteer award was awarded to Siglinde Keferloher from the Ottershausen district. The modest lady was a bit surprised herself at the eulogy.
In his speech, Mayor Peter Felbermeier also emphasized the “special modesty” of the distinguished Siglinde Keferloher. “Such active citizens are the best thing that can happen to a community. These volunteers are people who do something and don’t ask for their own benefit,” said the mayor. She is committed to the common good out of inner conviction: “Such people are jewels of our community,” the community leader continued.
The volunteer has been involved in the Together-For-Each-Other association for more than 30 years. She has been secretary since 2017 and was previously treasurer of the association for four years, which has helped many people in emergencies. Felbermeier emphasized her visits to sick and needy people: “You accompany, you encourage, you give time – perhaps the most valuable thing you can give.”
She has also been the chairwoman of the recreational football club FC Ottershausen with its proud 300 members for 13 years now. She took over the chairmanship when no one wanted to do it. “You are the good soul of the football field hut,” emphasized the mayor. In addition, there is the organization of everything from the summer festival to the nativity play in the church. Without Siglinde Keferloher, little or nothing works in Ottershausen. She has also recently taken on a new voluntary position as a school helper. “The children expect someone to stand there,” said the mayor and thanked Keferloher for this work.
“As a grandmother, I have another volunteer position with my three grandchildren,” said Siglinde Keferloher. During the laudatory speech, she herself seemed a little surprised at her many honorary positions. Siglinde Keferloher is a modest woman who found this big stage somewhat uncomfortable. She said she hopes to stay healthy for a long time and continue volunteering.
Birgit Weber also showed off her artistic skills around the award. She made a small advertising pillar with a crown on top for the winner of the volunteer award. The active woman from Ottershausen more than deserved this crown, the flowers and the special prize.
