Shure Launches MXW neXt 4 and 8: Reimagining Wireless Collaboration
In a significant move forward, audio technology leader Shure has announced the launch of two highly anticipated wireless microphone systems: Microflex® Wireless neXt 4 and neXt 8 (MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8). Building upon the renowned 2-channel system introduced in 2024, the new 4 and 8-channel MXW neXt systems promise robust, yet easy-to-deploy, wireless solutions designed for a wide range of meeting and classroom environments.
Expanding Capabilities for Digital Environments
According to Ralf Klinnert, Senior Manager, Product Management at Shure, “MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 offer an ideal solution for those who seek flexible and user-friendly wireless systems to enhance collaboration.” These systems cater to the needs of AV integrators and IT managers who require solutions for medium to large spaces.
MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 come equipped with enhanced software connectivity and advanced hardware components that simplify workflow processes. They deliver exceptional audio performance, ensuring that users experience pristine sound quality in real-time.
Streamlined Wireless Technology
Shure’s MXW neXt 4 and MXW neXt 8 feature world-class IntelliMix® digital signal processing (DSP) technologies, ensuring superior audio quality even in complex environments. These systems support various input/output connections including USB, Dante networked audio, and traditional analog audio formats, providing flexibility and extensive compatibility options.
Pairing mics is a breeze with MXW neXt, thanks to intuitive out-of-the-box operations. Users can install and configure MXW neXt systems in minutes, leveraging Designer 6 Software integration for efficient end-to-end workflow management.
Cloud-Enabled Management
For added convenience and control, MXW neXt 4 and MXW neXt 8 integrate seamlessly with ShureCloud, a cloud-based centralized management platform. This feature grants AV integrators and IT managers real-time remote access for system management, monitoring, updates, and control, promoting flexibility and efficiency.
Meeting Evolving Hybrid Needs
MXW neXt 4 and MXW neXt 8 are tailored to meet the demands of modern hybrid environments, accommodating up to 1601 wireless microphones and connecting directly to video conferencing systems for remote presentations. These systems are ideal for spaces that incorporate both in-person and digital interactions.
One standout feature of the redesigned microphones is their extended battery life, which can reach up to 39 hours, ensuring uninterrupted use without the need for frequent battery swaps.
Integration and Flexibility
The base unit of MXW neXt 4 and MXW neXt 8 includes advanced onboard IntelliMix DSP, allowing for both network installation and standalone use. This dual-use capability provides flexibility, making the systems adaptable to various deployment scenarios.
The systems are also compatible with major video conferencing platforms, and the boundary microphone option is Certified for Microsoft Teams, ensuring seamless integration into existing infrastructures.
Advanced Security
Shure prioritizes user security with the inclusion of Shure Audio Encryption, which employs the AES-256 algorithm for maximum protectiveness. This encryption enhances audio privacy, making it ideal for settings where confidentiality is paramount.
All Microflex devices in a room benefit from this built-in security, giving users and IT managers peace of mind regarding audio content protection.
System Flexibility and Configurations
MXW neXt 4 and MXW neXt 8 offer multiple microphone options, including bodypack, handheld, boundary, and gooseneck styles, each with high-resolution LCD displays for battery and connection quality monitoring.
The gooseneck charger can power up to eight microphones at a time and can be daisy-chained via Ethernet, simplifying system management and maintenance.
