Cofepris investigates purchase of medicines
In this same context, the president also referred to the investigations that Cofepris has carried out regarding the purchase of medicines by the health centers in Mexico, and according to what was stated by Sheinbaum, some collusions have been detected between doctors and pharmaceutical to purchase medicines at a premium.
As mentioned by the president, some prices were even up to seven times higher than the average, and without any guarantee that these medicines were the best, especially for cancer patients and those with hypertension.
