The intervention that aimed to stabilize the bone and muscular structure of the thorax, restore respiratory function, preserve the stiffness of the chest wall and protect the internal organs, was in charge of Fernando Lestussi, Héctor Leiva, Lucas Dogliani, Claudio Álvarez, Carlos Cardozo.
It is worth mentioning that the patient had double fractures from the clavicle to the eighth rib on the right side, which generated an unstable thorax and prevented the functioning of the affected lung.
Héctor Leiva, a member of the team that performed the surgery stressed that “since last year we are doing this type of complex surgeries, with this there are already seven interventions of this type that we specify, with the great satisfaction of seeing that the patient as in this case, it is recovered in a favorable way.”
