Ryanair is expanding the summer flight schedule at Cologne/Bonn Airport to include a new destination in Italy: from June 1st, the airline will fly directly to Rimini on the Adriatic coast. The connection is offered three times a week – Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays – and is aimed at holidaymakers just in time for the peak travel season.
According to the airport, it is the only Ryanair direct connection from a German airport to Rimini. “We are very pleased that Ryanair is launching a new direct connection from our airport in the summer and is enriching our flight schedule with the new route to Rimini,” said Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. Rimini is a very popular holiday destination, with the route there are “even more opportunities to fly relaxed into the sun in summer”.
Flights three days a week
Ryanair also points to additional choice for travelers: “We are pleased to add Rimini to our route network from Cologne/Bonn and thus offer our customers even more choice for their summer trips,” said Marcel Pouchain Meyer, Country Manager & Head of Communications at the airline.
Flights from Cologne/Bonn depart on Mondays at 2:40 p.m., Thursdays at 7:05 p.m. and Saturdays at 5:45 a.m. You go back on the same days of the week. Aircraft from the Boeing 737 family will be used. The flight time is just under two hours.
Rimini is considered a classic seaside resort on the Italian Adriatic. The long sandy beaches, the promenade and the old town complement the summer offerings from Cologne/Bonn. Those responsible have scheduled the start of the summer flight schedule for March 29th. In addition to Rimini from June, the airlines will fly to eleven new destinations in the summer. This means that the countries Georgia, Romania, Montenegro and North Macedonia, among others, can be reached directly from Cologne/Bonn.
