Russia Is Suspected Of Jamming The GPS Signals…

Russia is suspected of jamming the GPS signals of thousands of civilian flights

The Baltic Sea, which is already called the “NATO lake” due to Finland and Sweden recently joining the alliance, has already become a focus of regional tension during the war in Ukraine. With the exception of the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, all states bordering the Baltic Sea are now NATO members. The British newspaper The Sun reported that the sites GPSJAM.org the analysis shows that between August and March, about 46,000 flights over the Baltic Sea region suffered navigational data disruptions – although it was not clear what role Russia might have played.

A British military aircraft carrying British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps reportedly had its GPS signals jammed during a flight near Kaliningrad in March. At the time, a British government spokesman told the BBC that the flight had “disrupted GPS signals while flying near Kaliningrad”, adding that the experience was “not unusual” in the region. Among the destinations most at risk of experiencing GPS blocking are reported to be Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and parts of Finland.

Turkey, far from the Baltic Sea but still relatively close to the Black Sea war zone, is also considered a high-risk location.

Inaccurate GPS data can endanger the safety of aircraft as this system is used for navigation.

7 Days to Die announces the end of its Early Access and that the game will have to be purchased again on console

The Fun Pimps have announced the end of Early Access for 7 Days to Die… with controversy included.

The open-world zombie game was originally published in 2013. Now, after eleven years, it will end its early access phase and version 1.0 will be released. The surprise, however, is that they have said that users who bought Early Access on consoles (which was not exactly cheap, costing €34.99) will have to buy the game again if they want the final version.

The developers explain that “due to the significant technical differences between the old and current console hardware we will not update the old version.” This means, in other words, going through the checkout again.

The Fun Pimps says it is “working with Sony and Microsoft to offer a discount to owners of the old digital version when purchasing the new console edition” and that the current version will be removed from stores shortly.

On PC the situation is very different, where users who purchased Early Access will be able to upgrade to version 1.0 at no additional cost. What they will have to do is start their game again, since the current saves “will not be compatible with the many new changes.”

Version 1.0 of 7 Days to Die will be released in June on PC,

Manufacturers: Snapdragon X falls short of promised performance. Qualcomm: Weve done the tests

#Manufacturers #Snapdragon #falls #short #promised #performance #Qualcomm #Weve #tests

Snapdragon X series processors were presented by Qualcomm already last year. Even then (and repeatedly since then) he presented performance data on this press line to partner manufacturers as well. However, according to SemiAccurate’s contacts with notebook manufacturers, there has been considerable disillusionment since the first processors were delivered to these manufacturers, as none of the partners managed to achieve performance even close to what Qualcomm presented.

At first, the manufacturers’ results were less than half of Qualcomm’s numbers, later they managed to get over 50% of the performance level stated by Qualcomm, but one of SemiAccurate’s sources compared the achieved performance literally to Celeron (Intel’s low-end processor). The performance values, as well as the promises of x86 emulation “better than Rosetta” from Apple, contrast sharply with the results of the manufacturers, and SemiAccurate therefore turned to its contact at Qualcomm, who, under the promise of anonymity, admitted that the numbers presented were invented by Qualcomm.

The information indicates that the company probably expected a more significant shift in the development of “Windows on ARM”,

A 72-year-old man who had coronavirus for 613 days has died 2024-04-25 11:36:21

A 72-year-old man who had been sick with COVID-19 for 613 days, the longest known infection with the virus to date, has died in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The patient, diagnosed with the Omicron variant in February 2022, died of a relapse of a disorder in the body.

As Science Alert reports, the virus had been in his body for so long that it evolved into a variant that damages the immune system.

The man had been vaccinated against the coronavirus several times, but his immune system had failed to protect against the virus, which often happens in elderly and immunocompromised people.

People with weakened immune systems are at much greater risk of becoming seriously ill from COVID-19 and up to 13 times more likely to be hospitalized, even when triple vaccinated.

With 22 mutations

The 72-year-old had previously undergone a stem cell transplant and later developed lymphoma, requiring treatment that destroyed the white cells responsible for producing antibodies against the virus.

The elderly man’s case will be presented at the European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases World Congress 2024 in April.

Introducing the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO: The Affordable Off-Road Beast for the Masses

The Rise of the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO

“The TRX was the halo, the RHO is for the people.”

In a world filled with supercharged beasts and mind-boggling horsepower, it’s easy to overlook a vehicle that prioritizes practicality over raw performance. That’s where the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO comes in. Although it may not boast absurd horsepower or lightning-fast acceleration like its TRX sibling, this desert runner offers a refreshing alternative for those seeking a more accessible off-road experience.

Underneath its rugged exterior lies some serious power. Powered by a twin-turbocharged three-liter Hurricane inline-six engine, the Ram 1500 RHO churns out an impressive 540 horsepower. With a manufacturer-claimed zero-to-60 mph time of just 4.6 seconds and quarter-mile performance of 13.1 seconds at 105 mph, this truck proves that it can hold its own on any terrain.

While other off-road vehicles undergo significant alterations for improved performance on rugged landscapes, the Ram team took a different approach with the RHO. Despite featuring TRX hardware components, modifications to its engine are minimal but effective.

“A massive conical air filter draws air through a functional hood scoop to aid airflow into the engine.”

The truck also boasts equal-length exhaust pipes with an H-pipe in the mid-section and a valved muffler,
