Russia Cancer Vaccine: Ready for Use?

by Archynetys Health Desk

The head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia (FMBA), former Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova, announced that the Russian cancer vaccine has passed preclinical trials, which means that it is ready for use, and the agency is now waiting for the Ministry of Health to grant approval for clinical use.

The FMBA submitted its application to the Ministry of Health at the end of last summer.

Studies have demonstrated the safety of the vaccine, including repeated use, and its high efficacy in terms of reducing size and slowing down the growth of tumors significantly (up to 60-80%), Skvortsova said.

In addition, studies have demonstrated higher survival rates, which is also very important.

According to Mrs. Skvortsova, the vaccine will be initially used for colorectal cancer. At the same time, the FMBA is also finishing the development of a glyblastoma vaccine, one of the most malignant tumors, with barrier tumors located behind the blood cell barrier in the brain structure, and special types of melanoma.
